Sebelum menjawab pertanyaan mengenai superlative degree, aku akan memberi sedikit penjelasan mengenai superlative degree terlebih dahulu.
Superlative degree
Superlative degree adalah bentuk kata sifat (adjective) yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan sesuatu yang "paling" dibandingkan yang lain. (note: jarang sekali ada adverb yang memiliki bentuk ini)
Contoh: she's the tallest girl in my class.
Berikut rumus umum untuk membentuk superlative degree:
– Adjective yang terdiri atas 1 suku kata: adj/ adv + -est
contoh: tall – tallest, fast – fastest, smart – smartest, etc.
– Adjective yang lebih dari 1 suku kata: most + adj/ adv
contoh: beautiful – most beautiful, difficult – most difficult, expensive – most expensive, etc.
– Adjective yang berakhiran y: adj + -iest
contoh: pretty – prettiest, easy – easiest, heavy – heaviest, etc.
Note:
– rumus diatas tidak dapat dijadikan acuan sepenuhnya karena ada beberapa kasus khusus seperti kata good, superlative: best.
– pada kalimat, superlative degree selalu diawali dengan "the"

15. Melman is the youngest character
