Perhatikan 'says' dan 'said'-nya.

Kalau 'says', tenses tidak berubah. Cukup menyesuaikan subjeknya saja.

Kalau 'said', tenses jadi 'turun' satu masa, contoh:

present tense –> past tense

Past tense –> past perfect

Contoh:

Dito says, 'my brother likes ice cream', diubah jadi:

– Dito SAYs that his brother LIKES ice cream

-Dito SAID that his brother LIKED ice cream
