Report text adalah sebuah teks yang menyampaikan hasil
investigasi atau informasi mengenai sesuatu. Informasi tersebut merupakan hasil
dari observasi dan analisa.

Tujuan dari report text adalah untuk menyampaikan informasi  secara umum tentang sesuatu kepada pembaca.

Adapun Generic Structure dari report text yaitu :

-   Klasifikasi umum, yaitu  penjelasan umum mengenai subjek yang dibahas.

-     Deskripsi, penggambaran secara detail mengenai
subjek yang dibahas.

Pembahasan soal:                                                                  

Tujuan dari text B yaitu menyampaikan informasi tentang pesatnya
penggunaan smartphone ri waktu ke waktu dan keunggulan smartphone daripada komputer
 produksi lama.

Language features of Text B :

1.      
Nouns and noun phrases usage

Mobile phones, smartphones, smartphone
users, heavy users, mobile phone users, photos, computing power, primitive
computer, supercomputer.

2.      
Simple present tense usage

Example:

-. 3,7 billion of them own mobile
phone.

-  the
average smartphone user touches their smartphone over 2.600 times.

– The average  mobile phone user takes 150photos

  And
so on..

Passive voice usage,

-        The number is increasing  constantly and estimated to reach 10
billion..

4.      
Linking verb usage

-        The number one most popular iPhone app of all
time is Facebook.
