Tentukan penyelesaian dari persamaan x + y= 8 dan -x + 2y = 4 dengan metode substitusi​

x + y = 8 ……. Persamaan 1

x = 8 – y …….. Persamaan 2

substitusikan x = 8 – y ke persamaan -x + 2y = 4

maka,

– x + 2y = 4

– (8 – y) + 2y = 4

– 8 + y + 2y = 4

3y = 4 + 8

3y = 12

y = 12/3

y = 4

substitusikan y = 4 ke persamaan x + y = 8

maka,

x + y = 8

x + 4 = 8

x = 8 – 4

x = 4

pembuktian :

persamaan 1

x + y = 8

4 + 4 = 8

8 = 8 BENAR

persamaan 2

– x + 2y = 4

– 4 + 2(4) = 4

– 4 + 8 = 4

4 = 4 BENAR

jadi, x = 4 dan y = 4
