Why should we value elders?

We must respect the elderly for some of the following reasons:

=> we are educated by both teachers and our parents to respect them.
=> It has become a culture of Indonesian society that can not be separated in social life.
=> To establish a harmonious relationship as social beings that interact well
=> Older people have more experience than us, so we can not patronize them.
=> All religions teach about how we should behave to an older person.
