Why does sugar a solid, although it behaves like a liquid?
Why does Chlorine yellow, but is not toxic?

Why sponges is solid, although it is been squashed easily?

Jawaban:

1.The sponge is compressible being a solid because of the presence of air cavities inside the sponge. The sponge has numerous pores in it which can be referred to as air cavities, in which air is trapped and on compressing the sponge it comes out.

2. Any solid object has a shape, which it will keep pretty much, unlike a liquid or a gas, but it doesn't take a single, definite shape by itself. But each grain of sugar is a little solid object with a definite shape of its own that does not change in the process.
